Coaches Corner

Here is the Coaches Corner. Thoughts and news from the Capitals coaching staff (each title is a link to an individual post).

///Coaches Corner: October 11, 2010///
Welcome to the Regina Capitals Hockey Club!

We are looking forward to another season, and we hope that you and your son enjoy working with us this year. There is sure to be a ton of exciting, competitive hockey, fun, laughs and lifelong memories.

At times there is some hesitation with respect to "independent, non-parent coaches", but let us assure you that you and your child are in for a treat. Since we do not know anyone, it is impossible for us to be biased. For the first time ever, your child will be granted a blank slate - it is up to them to make the best of it.

We are proud to be "players" coaches, and we are 100% committed to providing the best possible hockey experience for the kids this season.

Regards,

Bradyn, Dustin, Clark and Mac

First and foremost, the coaches would like to praise the guys for their hard work during our first team practice. The boys set an excellent tempo to start the season off right, and if we keep up this pace we will be an unstoppable force by mid-season.

Reminder: Markewich, McCabe and Soucy will be running a dryland training session prior to practice on Saturday, so remember to bring appropriate clothing and footwear.

The Capitals put on their work gloves and hard hats for another intense practice. The team is already beginning to develop some chemistry to accompany the excellent work ethic that has been established amongst the players.

The Caps have one final practice before they open the season against the Regina Jets.

On another note, the box office reports that season ticket sales have been brisk and the Caps are on the verge of selling out their home opener.
